Mary Ann Slater is a self-taught acrylic realism artist based in Toronto, Ontario. She has shown her work in many Toronto exhibitions including The Artist Project 2017 and Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. Mary Ann Slater is currently represented by the Elaine Fleck Gallery.

Mary Ann’s work is primarily focused on vintage items. These forgotten objects might be ripped, torn, rusty or slightly dented . . .  but this just reminds us of the moments we have spent with them; long conversations on the phone or the smell of your grandmother’s perfume. As we go about our busy lives, we sometimes need to be reminded to slow down and enjoy those moments. Mary Ann invites you to reflect on these simple moments and to remember to appreciate the small things in life.
